On Wednesday, the brackets for the Upper Lakes Conference basketball tournaments were announced.

On the girls basketball side, play will open up on Friday, February 21st at 6 PM with fourth seeded Unicoi County taking on the fifth seed Sullivan East Lady Patriots in a tournament play-in game. The winner of that game moves on to take on the top seeded Pioneers of David Crockett Saturday, February 22nd at 6 PM.

On the other side of the bracket, the three seed Tennessee High Lady Vikings square off against the Lady Cyclones, who finished the regular season as the second seed. That contest takes place Saturday, February 22nd at 3 PM.

The winner of the first round matchups will play for the district championship the following Monday at 7:30 PM, with the losers tipping off earlier that day at 6 PM for third place in the tournament.

In boys action, the tournament begins on Friday, February 21st with a play-in game between the fifth seeded Sullivan East Patriots, and the Cyclones, who enter as the fourth place team. That contest will tip off at 7:30 PM, with the winner moving on to face the top seeded Vikings of Tennessee High the following Saturday at 7:30 PM.

Earlier that day at 4:30 PM, the third seeded Unicoi County Blue Devils take on the second seed in the tournament, the David Crockett Pioneers. The winner of that game along with the winner of the other first round matchuo will compete for the district championship Tuesday, February 25th at 7:30 PM. The third place consolation contest between the losers of the first round matchups will take place that same day at 6 PM.

Both tournaments will be held at Tennessee High inside of Viking Hall. Admission price will be $7
