Lady Cyclones Fall to Greeneville, continue tournament play Saturday

In their second contest of the Doc Maples Holiday Hoops Tournament Friday evening, the Lady Cyclones came up short against the Greeneville Greene Devils.

After a hard fought first quarter of play, Greeneville held an eight point advantage, up 21-13. Despite Elizabethton keeping pace with the Greene Devils in the second quarter, the early differential left the Lady Cyclones trailing at the half, 37-29.

The third and fourth periods saw Greeneville hold on to their lead, eventually coming away with a 73-53 victory.

in the effort, Peyton McGee led the Lady Cyclones with 15 points, while Reagan May added 14. Other key contributors for Elizabethton included Rylee May with 8 points, and Jamira Smalls contributing 6 of her own.

The Lady Cyclones will conclude tournament play tomorrow at noon, where they take on the Falcons of Volunteer.
