The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones welcomed the Lady Hilltoppers of Science Hill to John Treadway Gymnasium Tuesday evening, and after a hard fought battle, it was Science Hill who emerged victorious by a final of 66-56.
The first quarter saw a back and forth attack from both squads, before the Lady Hilltoppers took an 18-10 advantage into the second quarter. Heading into the halftime break, Science Hill had slightly increased their advantage, 37-26.
Throughout the third and fourth period, Elizabethton battled to keep things close, but Science Hill would eventually pull away, walking away with a 66-56 victory.Â
Kayelyn Nave led the Lady Cyclones with 14 points, while Jamira Smalls added 10, Peyton McGee scored 9, and Jasy Shell finished with 8.
The Lady Cyclones will be back in action inside of John Treadway Gymnasium Saturday against the Dobyns-Bennett Indians. JV tips off at 12:30 PM, and Varsity will begin at 2 PM.
