The Elizabethton Cyclones battled hard but fell short against the Science Hill Hilltoppers on Tuesday night, falling by a final score of 87-68.
After trailing 44-25 at the halftime break, the Cyclones began to battle back, trimming the lead to that of 59-44, taking a bit of momentum into the final eight minutes of play. Elizabethton continued their offensive production in the fourth, putting up 24 points, but Science Hill had a late game surge of their own, coming out on top by a final of 87-68.
Andrew Barnett led the Cyclones in the effort with 14 points, while Zack Wallin added 13 of his own. Hudson Pate finished the game with 9 points, while Nathan Bailey and Jackson both contributed 8.
The Cyclones travel across town Saturday to take on the Happy Valley Warriors, JV beginning at 12 PM and Varsity tipping off at 1:30 PM.
As for their next home game, Elizabethton hosts Morristown East on December 17, with JV and Varsity beginning at 6 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively.
