Welcomed to the Cyclone Family in 2024, Mike Corn is the first-year head baseball coach of Elizabethton High School.
Corn comes to EHS from Walters State Community College where he was the infield coach. Before that, Corn served at Columbia State Community College where he had been the head coach for 13 years.
Corn led the Chargers to two Region Championships and an appearance in the NJCAA World Series in 2014 during his 13 years at Columbia State. In that appearance, the Chargers finished in sixth place.
Corn was named as the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Coach of the Year four times and had over 60 players sign to Division I programs. Corn has coached 17 players who play professionally.
Corn began his coaching career at Tusculum in 1999. During his time at Tusculum, the Pioneers saw eight straight winning seasons, four of which totaled 40 wins. In addition, Tusculum claimed three South Atlantic Conference championships, two SAC Tournament titles and four trips to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
